Apstrakt:
It is thought that the Moon formed close to Earth, and that the Earth-Moon distance has since increased dramatically due to tides raised on Earth by the Moon. I will discuss recent developments in the modeling of the Moon`s tidal evolution, including models with a higher initial angular momentum of the Earth-Moon system. In particular, I will focus on the importance of obliquity tides within the Moon and their implication for reconstructing the initial obliquity of Earth (Cuk et al. 2016).
