Biological systems are fundamentally shaped by transport processes driven by fluid flows, from nutrient distribution and organism locomotion to circulation within animals and the dynamics of flows around plants. In this talk, I will present recent work from my group that quantifies intracellular fluid flows, both those that occur naturally within living cells and those that can be artificially induced by external means.
