Конкурс се односи на Лабораторију за CAD/CAM (LICP) на Савезном политехничком универзитету у Лозани (EPFL). Кандидат који буде прихваћен на место асистента-докторанта, радиће 70% на пројекту (уључујући и рад на докторским студијама), до 20% у настави и до 10% на осталим задужењима.
Докторанти добијају статус радника Швајцарске конфедерације, као и радну дозволу која има важење док им траје уговор на EPFL-у (исто важи и за чланове њихове породице). Услови рада су одлични, а на EPFL-у постоји и многобројна заједница младих научника из Србије, што олакшава интеграцију и помаже у решавању практичних проблема.

The Ninth SimLab course on Parallel Numerical Simulation , 3-9th October 2010.
Due to the great success of the previous eight SimLab courses on Parallel Numerical Simulation in 2002, 2003, and 2006 in Belgrade, 2004, 2005, and 2007 in Bitola, and 2008, 2009 in Cluj, this year again we organize the ninth one in Belgrade, Serbia, from October 3-9th (scheduled).
The short course is open to everyone interested in the Lab's activities and in the topics of numerical simulation and parallel computing. If you are interested in participating, please send an email to Vasco Varduhn (varduhn@tum.de) not later than August 31st, 2010.

German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) has granted support for students from outside Belgrade, either in Serbia or in other Balkan countries. Hence, we offer up to 30 scholarships covering accommodation (6 nights from Sunday, October 3, until Saturday, October 9) as well as some subsidy for travel expenses (depending on the actual cost).
Students who want to apply for this support should mention it in their registration email and give some estimate of their travel cost. With these scholarships, we want to especially encourage students from outside Belgrade to take this chance of some training in a highly relevant and up-to-date field of research.
Applications will be taken into account based on a first-come-first-served strategy and some regional balancing. If you know someone who might be interested in taking part as well, please inform him or her!

In 2009/2010, Central European University awarded financial support to 97% of all Master students and all doctoral candidates. Financial support for MS students includes tuition, health insurance, monthly stipend and accommodation at the CEU Residence center. Fellowships for PhD students cover tuition and health insurance and include a monthly stipend of approximately 700 EUR.
Our programs are taught in English, student/faculty ratio is 4:1. Sample courses are: Cryptology, Graph Theory and Applications, Control of Dynamic Systems, Algebraic Topology, Combinatorial Optimization, Modern Prime Number Theory.
Entry requirements for MS and PhD programs: at least a BA/BSc or MA/MS proof of English proficiency, two letters of recommendation, full curriculum vitae, statement of purpose, mathematics test.

The Lane Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at West Virginia University (www.wvu.edu) invites applications for multiple postdoctoral positions in the field of Approximation Algorithms. Duties include design and development of approximation algorithms for problems in risk management and computer security.
Required qualifications include an earned Ph.D. in theoretical computer science (with an emphasis on approximation algorithm design) or applied mathematics or a closely related discipline. Some experience in risk management and computer security is preferred but not essential.

The 4th South Eastern European Mathematical Olympiad for University Students with International Participation (SEEMOUS) will be held on 8-13 March 2010 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
The Olympiad is organized by the Mathematical Society of South Eastern Europe, the Union of Bulgarian Mathematicians, and the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics at Plovdiv University.
The team may consist of up to 6 students and 2 professors (a team leader and a deputy team leader). Eligible students are those who are not beyond the second university year of undergraduate studies by the end of the 2009-2010 academic year or have not completed more than 120 ECTS credits.
