The project of joint master studies-ASTROMUNDUS from ERASMUS MUNDUS

University of Belgrade, along with four leading European University (Innsbruck, Rome, Göttingen and Padova), for the first time received the project of joint master studies in astrophysics at the ERASMUS MUNDUS (EM) program. For those not familiar with EM programs, it is about collaboration and mobility of the European Commission, whose main goal is to improve higher education and the promotion of intercultural understanding.

The project is called ASTROMUNDUS and it is a master's program in astrophysics, which will run simultaneously in all five universities, where the coordinator is the University of Innsbruck. Department of Astronomy, Faculty of Mathematics, with the help of colleagues from the Astronomical Observatory will participate in the performance of the program. This type of joint EM Master programs is  carried out in Serbia for the first time, and is the only one, where the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Mathematics and equal partner in the EM program and participate in the education of students from around the world.
